TRANSACTION IN OWN SHARES

On 5 November 2008 F&C UK Select Trust plc bought 170,000 of its own Ordinary Shares of 1p, for cancellation, at a price of 55.00p each.  

The Company's issued ordinary share capital is now 55,554,961 of which 3,000,000 are held in Treasury.

Therefore, the total number of shares with voting rights in F&C UK Select Trust plc is 52,554,961.

The above figure (52,554,961) may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, F&C UK Select Trust plc under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
