Conversion of Warrants
New India Investment Trust plc (the "Company") has today applied for the listing of 21,708 Ordinary shares of 25p each ("Ordinary Shares"). The listing application has been made following the exercise of 21,708 Warrants to subscribe for Ordinary Shares at 100p per share ("Warrants") in the period to 4 September 2008. The Ordinary Shares will rank pari passu with the existing Ordinary Shares of the Company. Following the issue there will be 46,309,458 Ordinary Shares and 12,760,682 Warrants in issue.

It is expected that admission to the Official List and commencement of dealings in the Ordinary Shares on the London Stock Exchange will take place at 8.00 a.m. on 19 September 2008.
