Holding in company

The Company received notification on 31 October 2008 from Compagnie Generale de Geophysique - Veritas ("CGGVeritas") that CGGVeritas had transferred its entire interest of 6,476,266 ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company (representing approximately 15.0 per cent. of the Company's issued ordinary share capital) to CGGVeritas' wholly-owned subsidiary CGGVeritas Services Holding B.V.
