All our research publications will contain the statements that they:

(a) Have not been prepared in accordance with legal requirements designed to promote the independence of investment research; and

(b) Are not subject to any prohibition on dealing ahead of the dissemination of investment research.

Our investment research is ‘non-independent’. This means that it is prepared in-house on the basis of publicly available information and it is intended only for the use of our clients and potential clients.

The difference between ‘independent’ and non-independent research is that independent research is intended for a wider audience. It may be the case that the researcher has access to information that is not publicly available. In addition there are legal requirements that independent research must obey in order to for it to be considered independent. These include restrictions on trading in the shares that are the subject of the research before public announcement of information that the researcher already has.

These requirements do not apply to our research.

There is an extra risk of losing money when shares are bought in some smaller companies including 'Penny Shares'. There is a big difference between the buying price and the selling price of these shares. If they have to be sold immediately, you may get back much less than you paid for them or you may have difficulty in selling them. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results. The price may change quickly and it may go down as well as up. You could lose every penny put into a particular share.
