IMS signs £5m contract

Shares in IMS Maxims surged ahead after it signed a 3-year contract with BT, worth almost £5m, for the supply of its web-based software to a NHS Trust.

IMS will install four of its clinical applications in Barking, Havering and Redbridge NHS Trust (BHRT) to support its various administrative systems.

"IMS has made significant investment over many years in the development of advanced clinical software and we are delighted that our products have been chosen for BHRT," said managing director Brian Ennis.

"The company believes that successful implementation in BHRT could provide opportunities for further sales to new customers elsewhere in the NHS," he added.
