M&S's Michels splashes out again

Marks and Spencer's deputy chairman Sir David Michels has continued building up his stake in the retail giant with the purchase of 37,734 shares.

He paid 265p for each share, or a total of just under £100,000.

M&S shares have risen slightly in line with a general rally across the retail sector since Michels last bought in, taking 47,500 shares at 249p each.

Sir David, 61, was appointed deputy chairman on 1 June. He is also a senior independent director of the budget airline Easyjet.
