OMG confident after strong second half

23 October 2008 08:08:00

OMG, the motion capture experts behind special effects on the Lynx adverts and Harry Potter films, expects full-year profit to be ahead of expectations after a strong second half in most markets.

Full year profits are expected to be similar to those of the previous year, before £250,000 of non-recurring expenses, mainly arising from office consolidation at recently acquired mapping group Yotta, OMG said.

OMG said Yotta and OMG's imaging technology business 2d3 were performing ahead of expectations.

Vicon, which provides software and systems for motion capture in the animation market, biomechanics and ergonomics, continues to win new business, OMG added.

Risk Warning

There is an extra risk of losing money when shares are bought in some smaller companies including 'Penny Shares'. There is a big difference between the buying price and the selling price of these shares. If they have to be sold immediately, you may get back much less than you paid for them or you may have difficulty in selling them. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results. The price may change quickly and it may go down as well as up. You could lose every penny put into a particular share.
