Positive drilling results for CCG

16 September 2008 16:20:00

Mineral exploration and development company Central China Goldfields said drilling of its third hole at its Gangjiang licence confirmed substantial mineralisation.

Drill hole GJ16 at the Nimu copper-molybdenum project returned 358.2 metres of 0.58% copper equivalent, and 1.8 grams per tonne from 41.8 metres down hole.

A total of 62.4 metres, with a maximum of 22 metres continuous section, were mineralised at more than 1% copper equivalent, the company said.

""Hole GJ16 is to date the most important hole drilled in the Gangjiang licence," said Jeff Malaihollo, managing director of Central China Goldfields.

"This hole confirmed the presence of the third centre of mineralisation and is one of the highest grades drilled over long intervals. Its location 900 metres north of hole GJ15, which is in turn 1,000 metres north of Guqing, suggests mineralisation exists over a two kilometre long corridor," Malaihollo added.

Risk Warning

There is an extra risk of losing money when shares are bought in some smaller companies including 'Penny Shares'. There is a big difference between the buying price and the selling price of these shares. If they have to be sold immediately, you may get back much less than you paid for them or you may have difficulty in selling them. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results. The price may change quickly and it may go down as well as up. You could lose every penny put into a particular share.
