Regulation uncertainty constrains growth for Augean

Hazardous waste management group Augean said during 2007, market growth for hazardous waste remained constrained by uncertainty around the implementation of the change in regulation.

But it added that as indicated previously, results for the year ended 31st December
2007 will be broadly in line with market expectations.

The group said within the treatment division, the second half of the year has seen the sales development plan deliver improvement across all the divisional operations.

Volumes in the landfill division for 2007 were constant at 235,000 tonnes with prices remaining stable.

"The directors expect further progress to be made in the current year, with the level of growth achieved remaining in part dependent on conditions in the sector," it said.
