Sinclair Pharma bosses buy in

03 April 2008 16:26:00

Shares in Sinclair Pharma moved higher after the speciality drug company said today that its chief executive and finance boss bought into the company yesterday.

Chief executive Michael Flynn bought 1,000 shares at 40.15p each, while his wife Sookja bought just over 540,000 shares at 38.3p each.

The couple now own a combined total of more than 10m shares in the company, or 10.7%.

Chief financial officer Jerry Randall bought 250,000 shares at 38.25p a go, lifting his stake to 785,000 shares, or around 0.84% of the company.

Sinclair said in February that it reduced its half year operating losses to £863,000 from £2.6m last time and increased revenues by 15% to £10.4m. The positive results came despite delays in the US launch of Decapinol, a treatment for reducing dental plaque.

Risk Warning

There is an extra risk of losing money when shares are bought in some smaller companies including 'Penny Shares'. There is a big difference between the buying price and the selling price of these shares. If they have to be sold immediately, you may get back much less than you paid for them or you may have difficulty in selling them. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results. The price may change quickly and it may go down as well as up. You could lose every penny put into a particular share.
