10 December 2007 11:57:00

Direct marketing specialist Digital Marketing Group saw pro-forma pre-tax profit before amortisation rise 20% to £16.7m for the half-year.

The group said current trading is strong and its companies have secured significant new business wins and organic growth.

"We remain highly confident of delivering the levels of profitability for the full year which meet market expectations," it added.

The Indian Film Company reported a pre-tax loss of £489,000 for the period from 4 April to 30 September on nil revenue but said it has won contracts for a number of film projects, with income streams set to commence after the period end.

"The outlook for the next six months is very encouraging, with one of the strongest slates of releases from any Indian studio," said the group. "We are acquiring new films and our production timeline is being executed as planned."

The group, which invests in the Bollywood film industry, raised £55m when it started trading on AIM in June.

Digital screen media specialist Avanti Screenmedia said it has signed new contracts with Inventive Leisure and The Good Time Pub Company.

The contract with Inventive Leisure gives Avanti the rights to sell screen-based advertising for 54 Revolution Vodka Bars over a three year period. The second contract win with the Good Time Pub Company is to supply its Genie 3 DJ-based bar entertainment system, to six sites for an initial 12 month period.

The group did not comment on the financial details of the contracts.

Bidtimes said trading in its shares has been suspended with immediate effect after the investment firm failed to complete a reverse takeover.

The group also announced that non-executive chairman Russell Stevens has stepped down from the board.

Finders Resources' shares have been halted on the Australian Stock Exchange while the group finalises funding arrangements for its Wetar Project pilot plant. The miner's shares on AIM are not affected.

Netstore is now trading in line with expectations and is confident about its forward outlook.

AxisMobile has named Pazi Boxer as the consumer mobile email specialist's new chief operating officer.
