Small caps round-up: Trafficmaster, March Networks, Kiwara

10 June 2008 12:54:00

Satnav supplier Trafficmaster said it expects to continue to grow profitably in the current financial year.

In both the UK and the US, revenues for the period from January to May have increased against the same period last year.

However, the group said recent volume from the prestige vehicle market is below expectations due to external economic conditions.

March Networks said a large unnamed retailer in the US has selected the group's video management software and systems for a deployment covering about 100 stores, with initial orders valued at $1.5m.

Shares in Kiwara advanced after the Zambia-focused miner said initial sampling results indicate 'significant' nickel mineralisation at Kawako. An aggressive programme to drill this target will now be implemented, the group added.

Cinema operator Cineworld has formed an equal joint venture with Odeon Cinemas called Digital Cinema Media, which is expected to acquire certain assets from Carlton Screen Advertising for £0.5m.

Controls and instrumentation engineering group Kentz said its strong performance in 2007 has continued into 2008. "This, combined with the positive outlook for the sectors in which we operate, gives the board of Kentz great confidence for the Group's ongoing growth and development," it added.

Consumer finance lender MCB Finance, formerly Mobile Credit Baltic, said it has now reached break-even, before tax, on a monthly basis. The group said it has been able to reach this milestone because of continued growth in 2008.

Gas Turbine Efficiency said trading conditions in the second half are expected to remain favourable. The group's current order backlog for 2008 has increased by 86% to $23.4m compared with a year ago and is 35% higher than in April 2008.

The price may change quickly and it may go down as well as up. You could lose every penny put into a particular share.
