Small caps round-up: WIN, Best of the Best, Transense Technologies

WIN plunged after the wireless data services provider said its costs will rise in the short term as it builds greater capability.

The group has expanded its European service development and delivery team to meet the expected demand for its Emporium and rich-media content services.

It added that trading across the other traditional product areas to date has been satisfactory and in line with expectations.

Best of the Best, which runs competitions within airport terminals to win luxury cars, said trading during the first half of the year has been strong compared to the first half of the previous year.

The group said new sites in Birmingham Airport, Heathrow Terminal 2 and Nottingham East Midlands Airport are now successfully integrated and performing well.

Trading for the full-year is in line with market expectations.

Pressure sensor firm Transense Technologies expects to have sufficient working capital until the end of February 2008 after entering into a subscription agreement with Peter Lobbenberg, an existing shareholder in the company.

The subscription is for 1.04m shares at 23p each, raising a total of £240,005.

Shares in Angel Biotechnology were on offer after the biopharmaceutical contract manufacturer announced that founder and deputy chairman Stuart Duncan and director Peter Brown stepped down with immediate effect.

Mariana Resources gained on news that channel sampling at the Veta Chala target at the group's Sierra Blanca joint venture project confirms bonanza silver-gold grades.

AIM listed miner Centamin Egypt also advanced after announcing it has intersected an 'extremely high grade zone' of gold mineralization during its drilling program at the Sukari project in the Eastern Desert region.

KimCor Diamonds said work has commenced on the bulk sampling programme of two kimberlite pipes located in Tanzania under the terms of a joint venture with De Beers.
