Techmark movers: ProStrakan signs up Bayer Schering

27 November 2008 17:28:00

Drug developer ProStrakan moved forward as it granted an exclusive licence to Bayer Schering Pharma to develop and commercialise Tostran, its 2% testosterone gel used for testosterone replacement in hypogonadal men, in 65 countries worldwide.

Under the terms of the agreement, Bayer Schering Pharma has agreed to pay ProStrakan unspecified upfront and milestone payments, subject to the achievement of certain approvals and sales targets.

IT network specialist Network Technology fell again as declining sales of older Token Ring and N-Lynx products offset growth in the sales of newer product lines, contributing to the company's slide into the red.

Revenue in the six months to end-September eased to £0.9m from £1.1m the year before. The company recorded a pre-tax loss for the period of £81,000 versus a profit of £28,000 at the 2007 interim stage, but expects to make a profit over the full year.
