Tristel non-exec slashes stake

01 November 2006 18:13:00

Infection and contamination control business Tristel revealed that Peter Clark, a non-executive director, has disposed a sizeable chunk of his holdings.

Clarke sold 160,000 shares at 45p each to reduce his stake to nearly 22,000 shares, which represents 0.09% of the company.

"The sale of these shares was for personal reasons, to help fund the purchase of a property, and is in no way a reflection of my confidence in Tristel," said Clarke.

Risk Warning

There is an extra risk of losing money when shares are bought in some smaller companies including 'Penny Shares'. There is a big difference between the buying price and the selling price of these shares. If they have to be sold immediately, you may get back much less than you paid for them or you may have difficulty in selling them. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results. The price may change quickly and it may go down as well as up. You could lose every penny put into a particular share.
