ZincOx chairman takes more shares

16 July 2008 16:14:00

ZincOx chairman Andrew Woollett topped up his stake in the zinc processor yesterday, spending nearly £50,000 on shares.

Woollett, a geologist with more than 25 years experience in mineral exploration and development, bought 35,000 at 133p each and now has 1.78m shares, about 2.3% of the company.

ZincOx's share price has fallen sharply since Woollett last bought shares in the company in February, when he took 22,500 shares at 220p a time.

Last month, the firm announced plans to raise $120m through a share placing and bond facility to fund the construction of its Ohio zinc project. It also has projects in Turkey and Yemen.
