The Weekend's Comments

The Sunday Telegraph takes the view that Tandem (TND) is about to move up through the gears. The sports equipment and leisure company, with brands such as Falcon bikes, Pot Black and Ben Sayers in its portfolio, has a new management team. They have set about extending the product range, which has allowed Tandem to sell to key retailers such as Argos and JJB Sports. The Company has also reduced the costs of components purchasing and edged up margins as a result. The paper remarks that at 5p the shares are on an untesting p/e of 9 and "look good value." At 12.24 the shares were up 0.375p to 5.25p from Friday's close.
