According to Saturday’s Daily Express “the market warmed” to Croma Group’s (CMG) acquisition of Scottish security firm Vigilant for up to £3m. The shares have not, however, continued their forward move and were down by 0.13p to 5.38p in Monday morning’s trading.
Saturday’s Daily Telegraph picked up on the suspension of Lupus Capital’s (LUP) shares following the disclosure that it was in discussion over a potential reverse takeover. The shares were suspended at 13.00p.
Monday’s ‘Small Talk’ column in the Independent commented on a survey of AIM carried out by Growth Company Investor. It noted that some AIM shares, such as Multi Group (MLT), were cheap highlighting that the stock trades at less than three times forecast earnings. The shares were up 0.13p to 2.00p in this morning’s session.
Plus Markets Group (PMK) is thought to be in the process of changing the junior market’s name from Ofex to PlusOne to try and shake off its spivvy image, according to The Mail on Sunday. The name change is expected in the next few months, while the Company is set to reveal figures during February of how its trading system has been doing and how much business it has taken from the LSE. This appears to have sparked some interest this morning as the shares were ahead by 0.75p to 18.50p.
Symphony Plastic Technologies (SYM) features in an article about environmentally friendly companies on AIM in Monday’s Daily Telegraph. The loss of the high profile contracts with Somerfield and Kwik Save was highlighted, which could leave, according to some traders, an “alarming hole in” its revenues in the short-term. Chief Executive Michael Laurier was more measured in response, noting that he had to balance the benefits of contracts against commercial viability and the wider ambitions of the Company. The shares were unchanged at 9.63p.

Penny Shares Online - penny shares research and information service.
There is an extra risk of losing money when shares are bought in some smaller companies including 'Penny Shares'. There is a big difference between the buying price and the selling price of these shares. If they have to be sold immediately, you may get back much less than you paid for them or you may have difficulty in selling them. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results. The price may change quickly and it may go down as well as up. You could lose every penny put into a particular share.
