The ‘No Pain, No Gain’ section of Saturday’s Independent featured Access Intelligence (ACC), which noted that the Company has been somewhat of a disappointment. However, it has indicated it is trading at a profit and, as a result, the hope is that the shares will now perk up. Trading during this morning’s session seemed to compound this optimism and an increase of 0.25p was witnessed moving the shares up to 8.25p.
The Independent on Saturday noted a marked improvement to the share price of Carpathian Resources (CPNR) following its update from the Ja3a well last week, which upgraded the amount of gas at the site by 250%. However, this momentum appeared to die-down during Monday morning’s trading, as the shares fell by 0.63p to 5.00p.
EuropAsia Education (EPE.L) received comment from the Daily Express on Saturday, highlighting an improved share price resulting from news that China Education, investee company, had signed a deal giving it access to 1m Chinese students. The shares continued to rise this morning, gaining 1.50p to 7.50p.
An article in The Mail on Sunday, below the headline “Anger over investors’ ‘lost’ £1.3m” provided an update on the Setstone (STN.L) situation. The piece informed readers that the UK Shareholders Association is canvassing support to call for an EGM after the Company loaned money to mining group SHG Holdings, which was not repaid and the shares were subsequently suspended from trading. The news comes as AIM is clamping down on the behaviour of cash shells.

Penny Shares Online - penny shares research and information service.
There is an extra risk of losing money when shares are bought in some smaller companies including 'Penny Shares'. There is a big difference between the buying price and the selling price of these shares. If they have to be sold immediately, you may get back much less than you paid for them or you may have difficulty in selling them. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results. The price may change quickly and it may go down as well as up. You could lose every penny put into a particular share.
