Derek Pain in his regular column in Saturday’s Independent wrote that despite the shares in Access Intelligence (ACC) showing a loss in his portfolio he is “staying aboard”, as it’s a “promising enterprise” and “will eventually deliver”. The recent figures were not as good as he expected, but represented a sharp improvement on the previous year and progress is likely to continue. If it hits Corporate Synergy’s forecasts of profits of around £0.6m this year and £0.94m next, the shares are “cheap”, opines Mr Pain. He’s also anticipating more acquisitions. Derek finishes, “It is a lean, mean tiddler with head-office staff of just four and a capitalisation of less than £4m.” The shares were ahead by 0.25p in trading this morning to reach 7.00p.
Speymill (SYG) was featured in The Sunday Telegraph with the opening line of the piece advising investors to “Take a look” following news that its recently launched fund had been heavily oversubscribed. The fund will be geared up to £1bn and invested in the German residential housing market. At his point the Company will have £1.5bn of funds under management, which are expected to generate earnings of £10m, as long as performance criteria are met. “With further funds in preparation and a current market value of less than £30m” the piece concludes, “Speymill is well placed to grow, especially if Real Estate Investment Trusts are introduced in the budget this week. Buy”. The shares were ahead by 3.75p this morning to hit 79.25p or 0.79p pre the 1-100 consolidation. Monday morning prices were taken around 10.15am on 20 March 2006.

Penny Shares Online - penny shares research and information service.
There is an extra risk of losing money when shares are bought in some smaller companies including 'Penny Shares'. There is a big difference between the buying price and the selling price of these shares. If they have to be sold immediately, you may get back much less than you paid for them or you may have difficulty in selling them. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results. The price may change quickly and it may go down as well as up. You could lose every penny put into a particular share.
