The Independent on Saturday noted an upturn in the share price of Arc Risk Management (ARC.L) following increased turnover and lower losses, while Saturday’s Express also reported a growing demand for its products. Nevertheless, the share price was unchanged at 0.63p during this morning’s trading.

Dowgate Capital (DGT) appeared in The Business this weekend. The article commented on the success of the AIM market and, in turn, that of its brokers. It suggested that the beauty of the business lays in its fixed costs, meaning that extra clients do not necessarily mean a requirement for extra staff. Good prospects were highlighted through the last set of numbers and the piece noted that the stock is cheap. Furthermore, interims, out in August, are expected to show that things are on course and the article concluded, “Dowgate is a stock to buy”. Following this upbeat press attention, the share price added 0.03p to reach 0.75p.

The Daily Express on Saturday reported Gordon Kuenster, Director of Osmetech (OMH), increasing his holding in the stock by 581,000 shares. However, this was unable to change the share price, which remained 19.00p this morning.

Monday’s Independent provided a review of today’s results from SectorGuard (SGD) (please see below) and commented that more acquisitions can be expected in the coming months. The share price increased by 0.25p to 4.00p during this morning’s trading.

Supporta (SOR) comprised part of The Sunday Telegraph, which suggested that results, announced today (please see below) would show increased profit before tax. This turned out to be the case and the share price added 2.50p, reaching 87.50p this morning.
