The Guardian on Saturday reported an increase in the share price of Aquilo (AQL), after it confirmed that a number of bid approaches had been received last week. The price continued to rise on Monday morning, where it added 0.05p to reach 1.35p.
Saturday’s Daily Mail noted rumours that Tomkins, the auto parts group, had rejected the advances of Greg Hutchings in the form of a 265p bid, through his vehicle Lupus Capital (LUP). This speculation also appeared in the Express on Saturday, however both pieces went on to say that sources close to Hutchings had rejected the claims. Shares in Lupus gained 0.25p to reach 15.75p this morning.
Red Squared (RDS) appeared in the Daily Mail on Saturday under its “Broker Buys” section, which stated that Daniel Stewart rates the shares as a buy at 5p, following a positive trading update, 2 contract wins and profitable H2 trading. This momentum seemed to spill over into this morning’s trading, where the share price added a further 2.50p, reaching 8.50p.
The prices given above were taken between 9.00am and 9.29am on 9 October 2006.

Penny Shares Online - penny shares research and information service.
There is an extra risk of losing money when shares are bought in some smaller companies including 'Penny Shares'. There is a big difference between the buying price and the selling price of these shares. If they have to be sold immediately, you may get back much less than you paid for them or you may have difficulty in selling them. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results. The price may change quickly and it may go down as well as up. You could lose every penny put into a particular share.
