Albidon (ALD) appeared in Saturday’s Guardian, which picked out the share price rise, after the nickel price strengthened. This momentum seemed to spill over into trading this morning, where the shares added 3.00p to reach 104.00p.

Today’s Times believes that results from Alliance Pharma (APH) will be posted on Thursday, with forecast pre-tax profits expected to drop to £520,000. The share price was unchanged earlier today at 11.25p.

Computer Software Group (CSW) formed part of Saturday’s Times, commenting on the MBO, quoting one analyst as saying the price was too low, but that the deal looked secure as the management control would negate any potential counter-bid. Its price remained 147.00p during Monday morning’s session.

The Sunday Telegraph reported that the ‘For Sale’ sign hangs over Pipex Communications (PXC), with an exit at between 16p and 22p being brokered by UBS. “Hold out for the deal, “advises the paper, and even without it an independent analyst has set a target price of 25.7p. Shares in the Company were 0.50p better at 14.00p earlier.

Today’s Times included Stanelco (SEO) and believes that results will be posted this Wednesday, with losses of £5.7m expected. Following this press attention, the shares added 0.05p to reach 1.18p on Monday morning.

Saturday’s Guardian reported on the share price rise of Toledo Mining (TMC), now that ore shipments have begun. A further rise of 17.00p occurred this morning, as the price reached 189.50p.

TomCo Energy (TOM) (formerly Netcentric) featured in Saturday’s Daily Mail, reporting the purchase of 5m shares by Douglas Wright. “The company is run by Howard Crosby and John Ryan, who have superb track records in the US mining sector”, said the article. The Company’s share price was 2.925p, following a 0.475p increase earlier this morning.

The prices were taken between 11.20am and 11.36am on Monday 19 March 2007.
