The 7% drop on Friday in the shares of ILX Group (ILX) gained a mention the next day in the Guardian following a profits warning, in which we learnt that operating profits for the year to the end of March would fall below market expectations of £2m to £2.58m and instead be around £1.6m. The stock fell further on Monday by 6.5p to 72.5p. Saturday’s Daily Telegraph briefly noted Stanelco’s (SEO) 0.09p rise in response to heavy trading on director buying. Penny Shares Online - penny shares research and information service.
There is an extra risk of losing money when shares are bought in some smaller companies including 'Penny Shares'. There is a big difference between the buying price and the selling price of these shares. If they have to be sold immediately, you may get back much less than you paid for them or you may have difficulty in selling them. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results. The price may change quickly and it may go down as well as up. You could lose every penny put into a particular share.
