Derek Pain noted in his ‘No Pain, No Gain’ section of The Independent on Saturday that he had sold his holding in Access Intelligence (ACC), following a disappointing interim statement. The share price was 0.125p weaker this morning at 3.50p.
The Times on Saturday highlighted the entrepreneur behind Molton Brown, Charles Denton’s move to increase his stake in Intellego Holdings (IHP) and cited talk he could mount a full bid. Mr Denton’s stake building was also highlighted in Saturday’s Telegraph and Guardian. Following this press attention, the shares increased by 0.25p to 2.50p earlier today.
Networkers International (NWKI) appeared in the Daily Express on Saturday, which commented on a fall in the share price despite prospects of a more than 40% rise in interim profits. This proved to be the case in results announced today and the share price moved 3.50p better to 38.50p as a result. Saturday’s Independent remarked on the strong performance of shares in Pentagon Protection (PPR), after announcing a contract with the Armed Forces in Iraq. This was also highlighted in Saturday’s Express and the momentum appeared to spill over into Monday morning’s trading, where the price added 0.025p to reach 0.95p.
