The weekend’s Financial Times included Eurovestech (EVT), which commented on an increase in the share price after portfolio company, KSS, secured a deal with German software group SAP and CEO Leonard Bernstien sold shares to satisfy institutional demand. Saturday’s Daily Mail also provided coverage and suggested Landsbanki has a 27p price target. The share price was unchanged at 24.50p this morning.
The Times on Saturday featured an article regarding investment opportunities in Africa and reported that Hardeep Tamana of Stockbroker Fysche, Horton, Finney ‘likes the look of’ Lonrho (LONR), shares in which increased by 0.50p to 48.00p during early trading today.
PLUS Markets (PMK) received much press attention over the weekend. The Mail on Sunday highlighted the end to negotiations with project Turquoise, announced by the Company on Friday, although Turquoise was not itself named. Apparently, the deal broke down due to the consortium wanting to use a different technology to that used by PLUS and the PLUS Board’s belief that the deal would not be in the best interest of its shareholders. The piece noted a share price slip as a result of the news and this was also reported by Saturday’s Daily Telegraph and Independent. Furthermore, the Weekend’s Financial Times suggested that the collapse of negotiations is likely to reflect worse on Turquoise, as getting the right management in place will be key for the project. The Company’s share price dropped by a further 0.50p to 24.50p earlier today.
The Independent on Saturday remarked on a strong week for Van Dieman Mines (VDM), as its share price increased to 14.75p. Trading on Monday morning saw the shares fall back by 0.25p to 14.50p. The prices above were taken between 9.22am and 10.44am on Monday, 22 October 2007.

Penny Shares Online - penny shares research and information service.
There is an extra risk of losing money when shares are bought in some smaller companies including 'Penny Shares'. There is a big difference between the buying price and the selling price of these shares. If they have to be sold immediately, you may get back much less than you paid for them or you may have difficulty in selling them. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results. The price may change quickly and it may go down as well as up. You could lose every penny put into a particular share.
