ADVFN (AFN) Chief Executive Clem Chambers was featured in the Market Profile section of today’s Daily Telegraph. The article reported that online message boards can help downtrodden investors and enable small shareholders to make themselves heard. However, the piece also commented that people need to be sensible about what they read and Mr Chambers noted there are some “loonies” that follow various organisations. Following this press attention, the shares added 0.05p to reach 2.375p earlier today.

Shares in Delling Group (DLG) increased following news of a £2.1m fundraising, according to the Daily Express on Saturday, though this did not continue on Monday morning, where the share price was unchanged at 6.25p.

Saturday’s Daily Express noted that news of Director buying was unable to prevent a downturn in the share price of Scotty Group (SCO), shares in which remained 0.825p this morning.

The Independent on Saturday remarked that shares in Vivomedica (VVM) (Formerly Zi Medical) had risen on Director buying news. There was no change to the price on Monday morning, staying 1.625p.

River Diamonds (RVD) appeared in the ‘small caps’ section of Saturday’s Times, which noted suspension of the shares, as the Company is issuing equity at 6p to purchase the remaining 80% of the Emperor Gold Mine and to raise £4.25m in a placing through broker Hitchens Harrison. The shares remain suspended at 4.40p.
