Penny Share Review 458

Monday 15 September 2008

Penny Share Review 458 The Sunday Times included an article regarding RAB Capital’s Philip Richards, suggesting that he has lost his ‘once-golden touch’. The piece commented “having RAB on your share register was once a badge of honour for a small cap firm - today its seen as a liability”, and drew attention to the announcement last week from EMED Mining (EMED), released to clarify RAB was not a holder. It also noted that Oxus Gold (OXS) had surged after Richards sold an option to buy a stake, though detailed that the shares have since slumped. The prices of EMED and Oxus were both unchanged at 19.00p and 13.50p respectively this morning.

Ffastfill (FFA) appeared in today’s Independent under the headline “Strange name but slick business”. The article provided a brief review of the business, noting its involvement with derivatives and commenting this is one of the few areas of financial markets to have hitherto withstood the economic crisis. It went on to reiterate last weeks contract announcement with Icap, though the shares were unchanged at 8.00p following this attention.

Saturday’s Independent reported the fall in price of StockCube (SKC) after reduced first-half profits were revealed in last week’s results. This followed falling demand for its services, however the shares were 1.00p better off at 26.00p earlier today.

Prices above were taken at around 10:24am on Monday, 15 September 2008.
